Is an
Iguana Right for you?
Iguanas (Iguanid sp.) are large tropical lizards
which can grow to be over six feet in length. They can pack a
painful bite and have razor-sharp claws. Their diet
requirements are tedious and demanding, and the majority of
captive iguanas suffer from some sort of nutritional disorder.
While many iguanas are quite handleable, some are down-right
nasty. They can be a delight or a terror to have around,
depending on the individual. They require spacious, secure
enclosures with very specific temperature and humidity
requirements. |
